I had a great experience with Jacob the plumber. He quickly found and fixed a leak in one of our pipes and also replaced the gas hose to our dryer. His work was clean, neat, and professional—he made sure everything was done safely and properly. On top of that, he was friendly, respectful, and easy to talk to. It’s clear he takes pride in his work. I highly recommend Jacob and My Guy plumbers if you’re looking for a reliable and skilled plumber!

Prompt and professional service. Matt and Andrew came to the house and did a great job inspecting our leaking tub. They also repaired a sink that had no hot water. They did a nice job replacing parts and allowing for hot and cold water again in sink. Their manager called to discuss price and repairs. It was ultimately all repaired and we are happy with the service.

Typical Thursday, early afternoon. I saunter from my upstairs home office to my basement lair only to discover one of our ("most homeowners”) least favorite scenes - a pool of perfectly usable hot water surrounding the rusted underbelly of the years-old hot water heater. With the laundry plans on indefinite hiatus, I brainstormed my next moves. Turn off the water, get a towel and a fan on the scene, and call a plumber. An avid radio listener, I was more than familiar with the MYGUY PLUMBING jingle. Maybe too familiar (I do a fairly competent rendition). A quick Google search led to a phone call with Erica at the central station, who in turn dispatched a dynamic duo, Matt C. and his apprentice, Joe. They diagnosed that my heater was, in fact, toast, ran through a number of replacement options, and set us up with a great financing deal. While I did my job upstairs, Matt and Joe did the real work in the basement. Before dinnertime, they had removed the busted appliance, replaced with a brand new Bradford White model, and brought all of the associated pipe / wire / etc. up to date (with the kind help of another local genius MYGUY gentlemen whose name I didn't take down - my apologies). By dinner time, it was like nothing had happened. Great crew all around, incredible pricing, and an insanely fast turnaround time. Special thanks to Matt and JOe for being so cool and putting up with my loud, demanding golden retriever. I can't recommend this team enough. MYGUY, YOURGUY. MYGUY PLUMBING RULES.

Very happy we called My Guy Plumbing to fix our leaky pipe! Charlie and Matt D were very helpful in explaining exactly what was happening with the recurrent problem of pin hole leaks in one section of our copper piping. Other plumbing companies had fixed the pipe two other times only to have it start leaking again a few months later. Charlie diagnosed the problem and explained how the pin holes could have started and made recommendations to fix it. It was done neatly and within the time he stated it would require. He asked if we had any other issues while they were there, I mentioned a slow leak under my sink. They investigated and found that hardware under the sink was corroded and deteriorating and was the cause of the leak. He gave a very reasonable price and repair both bowls of the sink with top of the line, heavy duty Kohler fixtures, they then checked for more and 15 min to make sure everything was water tight with no leaks. Charlie took the time to explain each step of the process and was very thorough. I was so impressed with the level of service I signed up for the maintenance plan which doubled my warranty and discounted the work done. Two major plumbing headaches I was dealing with were taken care expertly, in a little over two hours. Highly recommend!! Thanks Charlie and Matt!

Arrived on site to complete customers annual home inspection. While inspecting we found that the condensate pump we installed in June is leaking. MyGuy plumbing replaced pump under warranty. After MyGuy plumbing tested for leaks at this time their are no leaks found
Arrived on site customer stated that they were getting Luke warm water and thought it could be the mixing valve. After inspecting we found that customer has 2 water pump water heaters. MyGuy plumbing will be getting senior tech out to re-diagnose.
Arrived on site customer stated that they would like their ball valve replaced, they also noticed that the spicket was spraying out water. MyGuy plumbing presented options to customer to get what we found rectified. Customer would like to move forward will all work. After all work was completed, MyGuy plumbing turned water back on to home and tested all work for leaks. At this time their are no leaks found. MyGuy plumbing went around the home to make sure nothing froze and at this time everything is operating and working as should.
Arrived on site client stated that tooth their toilets and kitchen was backing up. Their are clean-outs in the basement but I wanted to avoid flooding the basement so we pulled the toilet to snake the main line. After attempts to snake the main I found flushable wipes on the cable and it was getting stuck and binding up so we went in the basement out a bucket by the cleanout and removed the 4” brass cleanout cap. Snaked the main multiple times but was getting stuck so we stuck a blow bag down the main using hot water from the water heater for 5 minutes and the main was cleared. After clearing the main we put a camera down the line and found a bunch of sludge and toilet paper. Clog appeared to be due to a soft blockage. We must return again to put a proper cap on the 4” main so for now I put a 4” dollar plug as a cap.
Provided options to replace three toilets in home and install shower walls and pan. Morganville, NJ 07751
Arrived to the home, water is off to the home upon arrival, client had turned off the water to stop a leaking gate valve in the crawlspace for the existing hose Bibb. The leak is coming from the bonnet being loose, I advised to the client that I can attempt to tighten the bonnet but I can not provide any warranty and replacement off the shut off valve is highly recommended. The crawlspace is very small inside and getting into, I had tighten the bonnet for the client at this time and it appears the leak has stopped. I will leave the client an estimate to replace the shut off valve, if client calls us back to replace the valve I will credit today’s diagnostic fee towards that cost. Lastly, a smaller tech is needed to perform the repair and replacement due to the extremely tight opening.
Upon arrival customer stated they have two showers that are only getting warm water. MyGuy determined that the home was only 2 years old and because of this we created options to start with a minor diagnostic to check out the high temperature limits on each shower as well as options to replace cartridges if the high temp limit was not the issue. Upon removal of the trim plates we realized the high temp limit was not set correctly resulting in only warm water coming from both showers. MyGuy adjusted each high temp limit in each shower and both showers are now functioning as they should.
Arrived to the home, home is currently under contract and is being sold. There are a few plumbing issues that were brought up during the home inspection. Main issues are two leaking copper pipes in the basement in two different locations. The existing power vented water heater has a specific fitting called an exhaust fitting adapter, which connects the pvc to the blower is cracked. Part will need to be ordered first, then replaced. Also, a very old Bidet in the master bathroom that leaks from its own hardware when being used. I made client aware that the parts for this bidet maybe discontinued and replacement or removal of the bidet is strongly recommended. Client has asked for estimates for the work to be completed for today, if client calls us back to fix the copper piping we will credit today’s diagnostic fee towards the cost of the work to be completed.
We had recently had replaced the showerhead for the client, we arrived today due to a leak and staining on the ceiling right above the shower. In order to determine if it is related to the showerhead swap out, I disconnected the shower trim to get access and see inside the wall. With the trim removed, I turned on both shower heads and it is completely dry in the wall. I next sprayed water along the seams of the tile and shower base to recreate the problem. I then sprayed the handheld towards the corner of the shower door and wall, and within a matter of 20sec, the whole bathroom floor fills with water. There are many problem spots on the tiling and grout, along with a huge grout line missing in front of the toilet. I also determined that the bathroom group is not very level, reason I know this, is because when I sprayed the corner and water leaks out and onto the floor, the water pitch’s towards the opening. At this time, it appears that the leak is not plumbing related. Without cuttin
Arrived on site client stated her dishwasher would not drain and the kitchen sink is draining fine. Upon inspection I took the dishwasher hose off and found that it was clogged. Removed food from the dishwasher hose and ran the dishwasher. Dishwasher is now draining as it should and there is no more standing water in the dishwasher.
Arrived to home to find source of high water bill. Dye tabbed toilets and found leaks in 2. 3 toilets in home are very old and recommend replacement. Gave options. Could not properly find out if toilets were the only culprit of high water bill because shut off valves were seized and could not isolate. Left options.
This option includes replacing volume control, shower cartridge. Currently customer is experiencing a slow drip from bottom shower sprayer, this is due from the control cartridge, failing letting water slip by. This includes replacing control cartridge. Arrived back to home to install new volume control cartridge. Turned water off to home and removed old one. Replaced with new. Turned water on to test for leaks, there are none at this time. Being the way sprayers are piped in the wall, after turning off water will continue to drip from bottom sprayer until pipes connected are empty of water. This is because there is residual water left in pipes after cartridge is turned off.
Arrived on site client stated she would like for us to install her kitchen faucet. Upon inspection I checked to see if the valves worked underneath and only the hot side was not holding. Client would like to just change all 3 valves underneath since we are changing one. Turned off water to the home and changed both hot and cold valves for faucet as well as the dishwasher valve as a courtesy. Turned water back on and installed kitchen faucet . Checked for leaks and there are no leaks at this time.
